Save game cleaner crashing1/8/2023 I had loads of mods (around 150) when public beta patch 2 was the latest update and it just took a while longer to load a save game and now Why did this problem only start with the patch2.1 I hope I haven't confused things even more nowĮvil-Wizz wrote:that helps me a lot too but one question with that ? I currently have the following folders in my game folder.Īnd, of course one folder called simply "mods" (which is for my current game Central Kansas) Obviously I change the name of the mods folder I was using to show the name of the map I've just finished with. ![]() An example of mine is "Hag_mods" would be renamed to "mods" when I want to play on Hagenstadt and "Spring_mods" would, likewise, be renamed to "mods" when I want to play Springhill. ![]() ![]() Ian showed me how to have multiple mod folders (1 for each savegame I am using) and if I want to change maps then I simply rename the mod folder that goes with it. Well every item in the game takes up a slot in memory (every leaf on every tree, bales, vehicles, EVERYTHING) so in short yes, keeping unused mods in your mod folder is a sure way to cause your game to slow down and eventually (like the OP here) to stop altogether.
